[REVIEW] Tenshi の Cafe

1st of March 2011........ A day I am waiting for....... MAID CAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I went to Maid Cafe with 3 of my friends to test how maid cafe is...... but sadly, I have bad comment from this restaurant.

The outside design is okay actually.

There is a TV showing Miku.

The interior design was kinda plain, don't aspect much since I am going there for eating food and trying their service.

Basically we are not allow to take any picture inside(they did not mention no picture from outside too), so I could not show you what is inside.

Once I enter, 2 maid greet us with the usual Japanese word "Welcome”. Okay..... that was nice. Once enter, we saw butlers and maid. Then, we were given a menu to browse through.

Not much choice we can pick, so.... I picked Katsu Curry Don as my food. I was so pissed when my friend make an order. He ordered a glass of warm water and the butler gave us a ridiculous answer. "I need to check with the kitchen to check whether we provide warm water or not, sometimes if the menu dont have, we cant serve you."

I was like WTF!!!!! You dont serve water in a restaurant?! That's ridiculous!!!!!

After order...... we waited and my friend's omelette rice came. Our first reaction is WTH!!!!! OVER SMALL Portion of food. Even Otoya have a bigger portion of Omellete rice.

My friend who normally eat a bit only, he said that he rather eat biscuits. Besides that, when the maid serve my friend this dish, she ask my friend do he want her to draw something(with ketchup or chilly sauce) in his rice. My friend said anything, and then she gave us an angry face. WTH?!

After then, my Katsu curry came....... as usual, small portion again, I barely even full. Cant even feel like I just taken the meal. Before the maid leave, she ask me do I want a charm on my food? I kindly refuse it. LOL!

My other friend order a black pepper spaghetti, oh well. Still okay for the portion.

My last friend almost waited for the food for 30 minute and it havent arrive yet. Me and 2 friends already finish and then the butler came and apologize to my friend that he forgot to send in his order. This is stupid man, we order 4 dish and 4 drinks.... isnt there any problem if 4 person come and then only order 3 food? He did repeat what we order but in the end, he said he forgot....... LOL?

After finish our dinner, we ask for bill and guess what. This is our bill.

With the kind of price and small portion of the food. I think I just burn my money. The food quality is not bad but the portion is ridiculous small.......

The funny thing i saw they charge is RM3 for 3 spoon feeding. LOL!!! and then RM8 for taking photo with the maid. This is a maid cafe, so i understand.

If you want to try this restaurant, please go to E-Curve at LG floor.
I dont really recommend this restaurant if you really want to eat a lot.

I understand, this is quite normal. Aust also got a maid cafe at anime conventions (due to legal restrictions) as well.

Now i'm pretty much gonna spam you, but hear me out for once. It may sound offending, but it's my honest opinion on your review

[He ordered a glass of warm water and the butler gave us a ridiculous answer. "I need to check with the kitchen to check whether we provide warm water or not, sometimes if the menu dont have, we cant serve you."] That's pointless rude, but he might have a reason other than the one he just gave. Normally in maid cafe's they should provide that. I should also inform you that 'water' is the least popular item you should ever order in the maid cafe...not many go there for that, so you might want to stick to pepsi.

[Our first reaction is WTH!!!!! OVER SMALL Portion of food. Even Otoya have a bigger portion of Omellete rice.] Bear in mind that this is a maid cafe. Mind me if i'm too frank here, but most maid cafe's policies are all about quality, not quantity. They won't want to serve large portions as they emphasised a lot on the design of the food.

[she ask my friend do he want her to draw something(with ketchup or chilly sauce) in his rice. My friend said anything, and then she gave us a !@#$%^ face.] Didn't expect this. Normally the maid that serves me would draw me whatever she likes when i say anything. This one prob's is too lazy to think of anything of some sort. LOL she is not creative, can think of the normal stuff.

[Before the maid leave, she ask me do I want a charm on my food? I kindly refuse it] You lucky....you....WHY AUSSIE MAIDS ALWAYS FORGET 1!!

[30 minute and it havent arrive yet. Me and 2 friends already finish and then the butler came and apologize to my friend that he forgot to send in his order.]Seriously, if i was there, i would have scold him like hell. Full on man. Butlers are supposed to be on time and never late for duties or service. No exceptions.

91.95 eh...malaysia's food's getting more expensive than ever. Hopefully when i come back wif more cash, i will take you out to eat at this place. Not to mention the fact that I'll pay for the service charge. I wanna see how these guys do after their first round.

[they charge is RM3 for 3 spoon feeding. LOL!!! and then RM8 for taking photo with the maid.] MINE'S FREE DUDE. COME OVER TO AUSTRALIA. YOU'VE GOTTA CHECK THESE HOT MAIDS OUT MAN

Hopefully your sound judgement on this cafe would be promising for it's potential future, Otoya. Do amuse me with more of your antics. Ciao for now.

glad to know the food quality is good there! i will definitely go to Tenshi の Cafe. however, you must have mistaken several points about the place (i am not saying i hate your honest review).

i think the maid/butler was very polite to answer your friend when s/he made an order for something which is NOT in the Menu. i heard the Ocha is refillable (which is so worth it i cannot imagine why won't s/he order it). the service sounds very courteous, i don't even know why are you complaining it was rude.

as for your friend who said "anything" to the maid who kindly asked for his/her request for drawing on the omurice, you said the maid's face was like "!@#$%^ face" (which i don't know looks like what) but i can only guess it was a Tsundere trait of Moe character. perhaps it is too fancy for non-otaku?

the cafe logo contains NO spelling errors and NO sexual connotations. the white silhouette also represents Tenshi or in English Angel just fine. why anyone would argue about it, is beyond my expectations because it does not even affect your food.

@akiko,

I already said in my first post of my blog, If you like it, tell people, if hate it, just keep it to yourself.

Also, why my friend should order Ocha? Is his choice right?

ocha is healthy because it contains potent antioxidants. but don't mistake it for preventing cancer or anti-ageing (it is unproven). XD

still, i'm sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction at the cafe; similar to muramasa, i would have reported a feedback to the manager that day, perhaps it will make a difference to your next experience. ^____^

@akiko,

I know is healthy :D but my friend just prefer a glass of water that time. HAHA.

I know, the food quality is actually not bad. If are there for quality but not quantity, go ahead :D

i do agree the interior and exterior is kinda empty and plain. They are working on it as we speak. about the no picture, the rules comes from Japan, might be a little strict for Malaysian. But now they already allowed taking pictures but not the maids/butlers. Interior and food is fine.

Food choices, you have to remember they just opened and u gone to the first day. Almost 95% of their staff is new with F&B services. for that guy, i can consider that as a polite way to say "we dont serve water because we never expected someone just gonna ask for ...plain water" . and like i said he's still new, he didnt know how to react to something he never teached. BUT .. i do agree they should at least serve plain water/ warm water as well FREE..

Portion wise . its maid cafe .. what do u expect .. they spend more time on presentation not quantity. u cant compare with a restaurant which main purpose is to serve food instead of the experience and services. BUT .. i do agree the price is a little tad high for Malaysian.

HAHA .. so u got her ehh .. yes .. i think i know who is she . the one serve u . like akiko said. its called Tsundere. each maid has their own personality ..

aikome or charm as u call it . Thats the best part la wei ! but yeah .. Malaysian mind isnt ready for that yet . LOLZ

the butler forgot .. okayy .. i had to agree with this one. new or not , this is unacceptable .. why didnt complain to the person in charge? i know i would .

LOL .. again .. its maid cafe .. its a THEMED cafe .. its not a family restaurant . what do u expect .. its the same like going to hotel, pay alot for a puny portion . they goes to presentation and services.

spoon feeding .. no comment .. im againts this service .. even the best maid cafe in Akihabara doesnt hv it . sigh ..

And i agree with ur last statement. Dont go there if u wanna eat alot. and i will say it again . its a maid cafe . ppl go there to have fun, experience a wee bit of otaku culture from Japan. Most ppl dont even eat there u know .

and no, i didnt work there ..im just a regular with maid cafes .. with a "S" .. not just Tenshi No Cafe .
